WE SAY IT AS IT IS: OUR STJERNESKUD IS NOT LIKE THE OTHERS
If you look through the Danish "stjerneskud" annals (No pun) you will see quite unequivocally that a "stjerneskud" contains at least: fried plaice fillet, steamed plaice fillet. Exactly how and when the shooting star was invented no one knows, but one thing is certain and that is that the Danish sandwich queen Ida Davidsen served it in 1962, when the Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gargarin visited Copenhagen.
And for us here at Klitmøller Røgeri, that's good enough: From Ida to Jurij .. absolutely anything is possible. Here in 2023, it's been 61 years and that's why we allow ourselves to make an update of the shooting star in 1962.
The basic principles of the "stjerneskud" are kept in claim: Fried & steamed fish on bread with side dishes.
In the year 2023, with the Stjerneskudsrevolutionen, we will now pay tribute to all the other flatfish that are found and caught in Danish waters, by Danish fishermen.
We use flatfish that for many years have not been in the same demand as plaice, but which are absolutely just as tasty and work well on a piece of food. We now use Issinger, Skærissinger, Scrubber & a little plaice (Den Steamede)
So no! our star shot is definitely not like the others, but we hope you will like our star tribute to Danish flatfish.
